On Wednesday, June 25, 2025, the Haringparty Almere took place at Restaurant Bakboord, where over 160 guests were warmly welcomed. Guests enjoyed a glass of prosecco and freshly caught herring, followed by a flavorful walking dinner crafted by Executive Chef Lars Bertelsen and Chef Chen Margolin.
The evening was highlighted by an art auction, this year hosted by a duo of enthusiastic auctioneers. The showpiece of the night was the 2025 herring barrel, beautifully hand-painted by renowned Almere-based artist Majeed Saeeyan.
The auction raised an impressive €31,000, with all proceeds donated to the Komma Foundation. This organization offers terminally ill parents the opportunity to create professional video portraits, allowing them to share their life stories and personal messages with their children, leaving behind a meaningful and lasting legacy.
